Our Story

Amaryllis Salon + Spa (formerly To Dye For Hair Boutique) was founded in 2020 in Downtown Louisville, Kentucky in the midst of a global pandemic. At Amaryllis we are focused on guest experience, building confidence, & creating a lasting relationship with every person that walks through our doors.

MORE THAN A CLIENT

At Amaryllis, stepping through our doors means becoming a cherished guest, not just another appointment. Here, you're more than a client; you're part of our community, where warmth and genuine connections flourish. It's this spirit of hospitality that sets Amaryllis apart, making each visit an experience to remember, beyond just a salon service.

Our Mission Statement

To provide an exceptional and unique experience that celebrates individuality, promotes self-care, & fosters a sense of belonging where everyone feels valued and beautiful, inside and out.

CORE VALUES

OWN YOUR SH*T

We believe that when we don’t “own our sh*t” humans tend to get stuck, or in a slump. The beauty industry is an ever revolving door, so we find strength in understanding our own strengths and weaknesses. When our stylists own their sh*t we are able to realize our areas of improvement, and where we can help others so we can all grow and improve on our craft.

BE TRANSPARENT

Everything we do falls back on our transparency core value. Being transparent allows our guests to distinguish Amaryllis from other salons they have visited previously. We believe in building trust through honesty, and reliable information.

GIVE RESPECT

Respect means that you accept somebody for who they are, even when they're different from you or you don't agree with them. Respect in your relationships builds feelings of trust, safety, and wellbeing. We believe that respect is never earned through fear, so we strive to create a welcoming environment in which everyone feels safe to express themselves.

HAVE AUTHENTICITY

We want everyone to be true to their own personality, values, and spirit, regardless of the pressure that they’re under to act otherwise. You're honest with yourself and with others, and you take responsibility for your mistakes.
